The Washed Ashore Global Tour

Installing the jellyfish

Washed Ashore's Global Tour and Awareness Campaign seeks to raise public awareness about the impacts of trash in the oceans on marine mammals and our environment.

The artist's positive message will travel the globe bringing this thought provoking and beautiful medium that resonates with viewers. The transforming experience comes naturally to those exposed to this exhibit as they are drawn to the beautiful sculptures. The revelation of the art materials as recognizable household items spur questions and actions toward change.

Washed Ashore, the vision of artist Angela Haseltine Pozzi and her non-profit The Artula Institute For Arts and Environmental Education, is a community effort that transforms ocean debris collected from the beaches in Oregon into giant sculptures of marine life ingesting that same type of debris.

We invite you to join Washed Ashore's Ocean Ambassadors in this tangible message that takes action to improve the health of our oceans. While there are many environmental problems that are complex and seem difficult to solve, ocean debris is a problem that can be addressed through simple changes in our behavior, and a commitment to care.
